What do you like about the Graduate Nurse Program at DaVita? The dedicated training resources, which involved a structured program with the assignment of a preceptor who coached during the entire training process. Additionally, I was assigned a New Graduate Trainer who met with me on a monthly basis providing additional training on various different topics from complications related to dialysis, system training inherit to DaVita and process and procedures. The program also provided leadership courses and exposure to different areas of nephrology, i.e. transplant programs and the placement of permanents access via the “Access Centers |

Why did you choose to join the DaVita® Village as a teammate? I am a former patient and loved my clinic and the staff that cared for me. After my kidney transplant and finishing nursing school, working as a hemodialysis RN was a natural choice for me. |

What has been your general experience with training and on-boarding at DaVita? My general experience with training was that it was fun. A definite eye-opener as to where learning could actually be fun. I feel the material stuck a lot better due to the environment in which it was taught. On-boarding with DaVita has been a blast. Of course with anything, it has had its ups and downs, but I can’t recall one single day since my date of hire, getting out of bed and dreading having to go to work. I get pleasure out of not only seeing and interacting with my patients, but the environment where there has been a great team of people built. |
